Special "Year-to-Date" Leagues
A few leagues play a special style we call "Year-to-date." These leagues accumlate stats based on full season performances by players. Trades and other transactions are all effective from the beginning of the season. If your league plays by these rules, select 'We are SPECIAL.' If you're confused by all this, then you're 'Normal.'
We are Normal - Transactions are effective throughout the season.
We are SPECIAL - Transactions are all retroactive to Opening Day.

Pick your "Stat Week." If your league makes weekly transactions, the First Day of your Stat Period is the day that the transactions become effective.

Salary/Contract Data - Your league may use Salary and/or a Status/Contract to indicate something meaningful about a player in your league. There are two fields available to hold this data. The Salary Field is strictly a numeric field and can hold six digits including a decimal place (i.e., xxx.xx is the max width). The Status Field is a 5-character field that can be used to hold any other type of designation: a year, a letter, a number - whatever is meaningful in your league. In the past we had combined these two fields into a single alpha-numeric field - that has been replaced by these two fields. You may opt to use none, one or both fields. When a free agent player is picked up, the default values will be assigned to that player - those values can be edited at any time in the transactor.

Roster Size - Indicate the size of your Active Roster. We do not need to know the size of the Reserve Squad or Injured List - all players not on the Active Roster are automatically designated as non-active.
If your league uses a 10th Pitcher Option or some other form of Swing Player set the Active Roster Size to the largest possible value. For example, a traditional league may have 23 active players - 14 Hitters and 9 Pitchers. If you use the 10th Pitcher option (allowing teams to reduce the size of the active hitting roster by one player and adding an active pitcher in his place), you should select 14 Active Hitters and 10 Active Pitchers.

Position Distribution - Now indicate how positions are distributed in your league. The total of the hitting positions should equal the size of the active hitting roster that you entered above. Likewise, the total for pitching positions should equal the size of the active pitching roster entered above.
If your league does not make a distinction between Starting Pitchers and relievers, use the top box (P) and leave the other boxes at zero. Otherwise select the number of starters (SP) and relievers (RP). Remember, the sum of numbers in the pitching boxes below should equal the number of pitchers that you entered the in 'Active Pitchers' box above.
